Ampersand Connected Learning

Helping students make connections to the people and resources they need to develop projects, integrate their learning, gain work experience, and follow their unique pathway to productive and fulfilling careers. If you need help with a student grant or your ePortfolio, here’s the place to go. A variety of workshops, presentations, and other programming are also hosted through this connected learning experience at Emory & Henry

Bookstore (“The Merc”)

The Emory & Henry Mercantile is where students can purchase all textbooks, school supplies, and art supplies needed for classes, as well as grocery and housewares. The Mercantile also carries a large line of Emory & Henry College apparel and gift items. 

Career Center

Need help choosing a major? Updating a resume? Finding a job? Setting up an internship? Visit The van Vlissingen Center for Career and Professional Development where our career services experts offer one-on-one counseling, workshops addressing every step of a student’s post-graduation plans, career fairs, on-campus recruiting, and a wide range of print and electronic resources. 

E&H Online

E&H Online is committed to providing high-quality online courses, programs, as well as empowering educators to effectively engage with students and ensure success. You’ll find resources like course design and development, educational technology (including Zoom, Moodle, VidGrid, etc.) faculty professional development and more. 

Library

Kelly Library is the hub of intellectual activity at Emory & Henry College. Here you will find places to study, work with others, or use a computer. Additionally, the library personnel works with faculty and students to develop research skills and to provide a wide range of support services that enhance the teaching and learning experience. The lower level of Kelly Library houses the Information Technology Services.

Lyceums

Each year, the college features nearly 100 concerts, lectures, theatre and dance performances, films, exhibits, and poetry readings that help to complete your academic experience. The vast majority of these Lyceum events are part of the college’s popular Lyceum program, and many are held at our McGlothlin Center for the Arts. In addition, we host a literary festival and several endowed lecture series. 

Paul Adrian Powell, III Student Success Center

Staffed by skilled and caring professionals, the Paul Adrian Powell, III Student Success Center provides a variety of support to students, at no charge, including 1) academic support to help you deal with the challenges of your coursework such as academic counseling, upperclass mentoring, disability services, skill development workshops, and peer tutoring; and 2) counseling services to help you with personal struggles that often accompany change and challenges. 

Research Compliance

Research with human subjects and research with animals conducted by faculty, staff, and students at Emory & Henry requires review and oversight by two important committees on campus.  The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews and oversees research with human subjects. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) reviews and oversees research with animals.

Technology Resources

The Information Technology Services Computer Help Desk is located on the ground floor of Kelly Library and provides assistance with network & email access issues and supports the campus network and all College-owned computer technology. 

Tutoring & Learning

We offer a wide variety of subjects as well as a variety of delivery methods (in-person drop-in, individual appointments, and Zoom) to aid students with their tutoring needs utilizing the Penji platform to schedule sessions.
