DPT Early Assurance Program
The Department of Physical Therapy Early Assurance program (DPT-EAP) offers a select number of talented high school seniors a position in the Emory & Henry College Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This program offers selected undergraduate students a position in the graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy Program after completion of the DPT Program prerequisite course requirements and an undergraduate degree from Emory & Henry College.
Initial Admission Criteria as a High School Senior

High School GPA of 3.3 or greater as computed by the Office of Admissions

SAT score of 1150 or higher OR ACT score of 25 or higher
- Complete the Early Assurance Program Application

Applying after enrollment as a first-year student?
Continuing Requirements during the E&H Undergraduate Program

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 (or last 60-hour cumulative GPA of 3.5 at time of application to the DPT Program)

Combined GRE score of 300 or higher and an analytical writing score of 3.5 or higher

Physical Therapy prerequisite coursework GPA of 3.0

Completion of a bachelor’s degree at Emory & Henry College including all prerequisite coursework being completed at E&H.

Complete online PTCAS application during senior year

50 hours of observation across a variety of PT settings

Active participation in campus life and civic engagement

Participate in designated activities with the Health Sciences Campus students and faculty
Selection Process
Application materials are reviewed on a rolling basis until the cohort is full.
The Committee will select up to 25 students to invite for an initial interview.
The ten most highly ranked of those interviewed will be selected to participate in the program.
