Dean’s Welcome

Welcome to the Emory & Henry College School of Health Sciences! Launched in 2014, the School of Health Sciences is committed to providing quality educational experiences for our students, while also making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.  

Thanks to the generosity of Smyth County, the Town of Marion, and the Mountain States Health Alliance, the E&H School of Health Sciences is located on the former campus of the Smyth County Community Hospital. Multiple renovation projects have enabled us to re-purpose the historic hospital campus to provide state-of-the-art facilities for interprofessional healthcare education, research, and patient care.  

All of our academic programs include a focus on collaborative, interprofessional education (IPE) and a commitment to community service.
