The Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences is located approximately twenty miles north of our Emory, VA campus. Located in a scenic neighborhood of this historic town, the Marion campus offers stunning views of the area’s mountainous wonderland.
Nestled in the highlands of southwestern Virginia, Marion, known as “The Heart of the Highlands”, boasts of access to some of the region’s most breathtaking surroundings. Famous for its spectacular outdoor recreation areas, Marion is the gateway to both Hungry Mother State Park and the highest peak in Virginia, Mount Rogers. Within miles of our Campus are abundant hiking and biking trails, stocked trout streams, and a 100-acre mountain lake.
The community is also home to the famous Lincoln Theatre. Beautifully restored in 2004, the theater plays host to the nationally-televised Song of the Mountains performances as well as a variety of other musical and theatrical entertainment opportunities. Visitors to Marion often enjoy overnight lodging at the historic General Francis Marion Hotel, just down the street from the Lincoln Theatre.
