Finding and getting a job takes work and the Career Center can help you access your next great opportunity by connecting students and alumni to great career opportunities and employers to amazing talent.
The Career Center provides E&H students, alumni, and partner employers free access to Handshake, the only platform that safely connects college students, schools, and employers together.
The Career Center is thrilled to announce that Emory & Henry College is now partnering with Handshake to provide our community with access to diverse employers with a wide range of opportunities for college students and recent graduates.
Student Employment (Work Study) is a great way to earn money and gain experience without leaving campus. Visit the Student Employment page for complete details.
While Handshake is the only career platform that the Career Center maintains and monitors, be sure to check out these resources that provide information about opportunities within specific career fields.
Disclaimer: Handshake is the only job search site maintained by Emory & Henry Career Services. All other job search sites are maintained by outside organizations.
The USA Federal Government uses USAJobs.gov to post opportunities and this is where anyone wanting to work with the Federal Government should search for vacant opportunities.
While no guarantees can be made, to help mitigate the constant threat of fraudulent employers, Handshake designed and built the first “Employer Trust Score” in the career services space. This Trust Score uses a powerful two-part validation system designed to identify and eliminate fraudulent employers and contacts before they join your network, making it easy to protect our students as they explore the job market.
When searching for opportunities outside of the Handshake platform, look for the following hints to help ensure that you have found a legitimate opportunity:

It is best practice to apply through the employer’s website.
A thorough description of the employer and position should be provided
The role has comparable qualifications, pay, and benefits to similar opportunities with other employers
Does the employer provide photos of the staff members on their website?
