Megan McReynolds

Assistant Director of Clinical Education/Principal Faculty Physician Assistant Studies

Professor McReynolds currently serves as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and as a Principal Faculty member for the Emory and Henry College School of Health Sciences Department of Physician Assistant Studies. She also serves as Co-Course Director for the Clinical SCPE courses as well as lecturer for Didactic phase Courses.

Professor McReynolds is a native of Sullivan County, Tennessee. She attended Mountain State University in Beckley, West Virginia where she graduated from the Physician Assistant program in 2014 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Throughout her academic career, Professor McReynolds holds the Chair position of the Student Activities Committee which is dedicated to service and the local communities of Marion, VA.

Professor McReynolds has a passion for community service and serving local underserved areas. She was a full-time clinician employed as a Hospitalist PA-C prior to becoming a full-time educator in the Master of Physician Assistant program. She still volunteers in the Mel Leamen Free Clinic weekly participating as a Primary Care clinician.

Professor McReynolds is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Physician Assistant Education Association, and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She was awarded by the Pi Alpha National Physician Assistant Society in 2020.

Professor McReynolds is married, with three daughters, and lives in Bristol, TN near South Holston Lake. In her spare time, she enjoys riding bikes on the Creeper trail, being outdoors, reading, and traveling.
