Accreditation

The E&H MPAS Program is a fully-accredited program. Graduates are eligible to sit for their national boards, known as the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE) and, upon passing, are eligible for state licensure and credentialing.

Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

In the United States, Physician Assistant programs are accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) which is charged with protecting public interests and the PA profession. The ARC-PA publishes the Accreditation Standards for Physician Assistant Education, standards of proficiency that all PA programs must follow to obtain and maintain accreditation.

Only ARC-PA accredited (provisional or continuing) programs are permitted to train entry-level PA students and only graduates from accredited programs (provisional or continuing) are eligible to sit for their national certification examinations. The standards cover Program Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, Program Evaluation, Provisional Accreditation, and Accreditation Maintenance.

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Emory & Henry College Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Emory & Henry College. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be September 2031. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.

The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at http://www.arc-pa.org/accreditation-history-emory-and-henry-college/.
