Hermella Legessee

Hermella Legesse (Mella) is a Global Ambassador at Emory and Henry College class of 2026. Mella started working with the International Office in April of 2023. Mella is a Nursing major passionate about helping people and spicy food. As an international student, Mella knows how difficult it can be to adjust to a new environment and culture. She attributes her easy adjustment to Emory and Henry to the incredible support she received from the faculty and community. She wishes to offer the same help that she received. She is always willing to assist with anything a student needs.

Mella loves to stay busy. She is a part of many student organizations on campus as well as being a part of the Bonner program and an Honors student. Mella also gives tours on campus as a Blue and Gold Ambassador. Mella spends her free time curled up with a good book or watching a show. Mella is always willing to talk about her experiences with other international students as well as lend an ear.
