Amelia Terry

Amelia Terry is a Global Ambassador at Emory & Henry College in the class of 2025.

Amelia majors in Psychology, Civic Innovation, and Hispanic Studies with a minor in Visual Communications. She is involved in the Bonner Scholar Program*, Civic Leader Scholars*, Emory Activities Board*, Student Government Association*, Appalachian Student Union*, Blue & Gold Society*, Sigma Upsilon Nu, Theta Chi Epsilon, Alpha Psi Omega, and is a Head Resident Advisor in Housing and Residence Life; those with an asterisk indicate leadership positions within those organizations.

Within Amelia’s role as a Global Ambassador, she spends most of her time outside of the office assisting international students with the acclimation to a different campus and culture while making sure they know who to contact with their needs. After traveling to Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, she realized that she had a love for travel and learning about different languages. Amelia plans to continue to incorporate the Spanish language into her future professional career within Psychology and Civic Development. She plans to study abroad again soon to another Spanish speaking country in hopes to communicate with more students on Emory’s campus. Amelia is very excited to be working in the Global Ambassador program to learn more about the stories E&H’s global students have to tell.
