Virginia has reciprocity with many states in which program completers can transfer their license.  For a list of states that currently have reciprocity agreements with Virginia click here.

Teacher Preparation Assessments Required for Licensure

Emory & Henry College’s teacher preparation program requires assessments that are necessary for licensure in Virginia and accreditation of the program.  A list of testing requirements can be found here and then clicking on the link “Professional Teacher’s Assessment Requirements.”  Students are required to take and pass all required assessments in their content area prior to the student teaching semester.  Emory & Henry College candidates have a 100% pass rate on their licensure assessments.

Please contact Sharon McKinney at smckinney@ehc.edu or by phone at 276-944-6218 to answer questions regarding testing and registration.
